The Class of 2026 Ottumwa Leadership Academy is excited to introduce 'Coloring Our Community'
(one of four community projects). This is a community-wide art initiative created to bring people together, encourage exploration, share a positive perception of Ottumwa, and celebrate everything that makes our community unique.

Residents and visitors will discover 14 interactive art installations placed throughout the city. Each location was designed to create fun, shareable moments that encourage people to explore Ottumwa, support local spaces, and fill social media with positive stories about our community.

To make the experience even more fun, we’ve created a Community Scavenger Hunt that encourages residents and visitors to explore every corner of Ottumwa while celebrating art, creativity, and community pride.

This project is about more than art — it’s about changing the conversation around Ottumwa and highlighting the vibrant people, places, and stories that make our community amazing.

Together, we can fill social media with positive images of our city and encourage others to experience everything Ottumwa has to offer.
